4 months ago a a guy brought in his daughter to get a cancer ribbon for her little brother that had leukemia and is going through the treatment. Surely after her I tattooed the mom and dad an anchor for their son to symbolize that they are fighting for him as he is in the hospital. I met the kid one time at the shop as I was tattooing his mom and he was just a regular kid that was energetic joking and making fun of his mom while she was in pain from the tattoo, I did get a bit of time to talk to him just random stuff about tattooing and he didn’t seem bothered or down that he was fighting cancer at all. Surely months has passed and as I was opening up at the shop she walks in and said “ I finally tracked you down “ and told me that he passed in September and I saw it in her eyes that it was really heavy on her. She wanted his name that he wrote on the card y def the Mickey mouse which he had a stuff animal of every single time he would go to treatment and stayed at the hospital. So this morning was her appointment and she walked in eyes blood shot and I can see that she’s was crying cause of this tattoo and I was the one that was gonna help her grieve , so I suprise her and took what he wrote on the card and added to the tattoo along with his thumbprint from the hospital. It was a very deep and by far one of the best tattoos I have done all year long and it meant a lot to me as it did her. ... life is short guys enjoy and be so grateful what is around you and what you have
